Renovation of Vingåkersbadet continues after contractor bankruptcy

Work to renovate Vingåkersbadet continues after the contractor went bankrupt. The remaining demolition resumes while planning for rebuilding goes on.
At the end of September Vingåker municipality was informed that the contractor for the full renovation had entered bankruptcy. Work can still continue through an agreement between the municipal property company and the bankruptcy administrator on the remaining demolition and planning.
Under the agreement work at the bathhouse can resume and the remaining demolition continue. At the same time the architect continues planning for rebuilding.
Closed since May
Demolition is currently expected to stay on schedule and work continues over the coming weeks. It is still too early to say whether the bankruptcy affects the overall timetable. The project is therefore monitored continuously.
Vingåkersbadet has been closed for renovation since 14 May 2026. Plan swimming visits at other municipal bathing places for now.
