Limited access near Igelbålen during nature conservation work

Wetland restoration at Ravinen
Nature conservation work is under way south of the Igelbålen nature reserve to restore and expand a wetland called Ravinen. While the work continues, access on the road between Båsenberga and the reserve may be limited.
The aim is to restore the area’s natural hydrology, strengthen nature values and support biodiversity. In the southern part an embankment is being built to create a water surface, and the existing ditch is being filled in step by step to rewet meadow land.
Forest has been cleared between the path and the marsh meadow. The cleared area will then regenerate naturally into mixed forest. Excavators and other work vehicles move in the area, which may affect access for visitors.
The municipality asks for understanding of temporary disruption while the measures are carried out. Questions about the work can be sent to the planning and building department at samhallsbyggnadsnamnden@vingaker.se.
