The week in Vingåker: last Activity Bus week, weekend culture and Pride approaching
Week 33 closes the Activity Bus summer holiday schedule with kabaddi, cake baking and a football tournament. The calendar fills with summer music, children’s disco, outdoor cinema and sing-along — and lunch menus have switched to week 33 at Joan's and Båsenberga.
Why week 33 is worth following
Week 33 is the last week of the Activity Bus summer holiday schedule. The bus runs Monday to Friday with kabaddi, cake baking, a slide and closes with a football tournament at the youth centre on Friday 14 August.
At the same time the calendar fills with new dates: summer music at Österåker Church, children’s disco in Högsjö, outdoor cinema in Marmorby and sing-along at Hjälmargården. Further ahead, Pride in Vingåker awaits on Saturday 22 August.
Lunch menus have switched to week 33 at Joan's and Båsenberga according to the restaurants’ pages. Humlegården’s and the school municipal PDFs still showed week 32 at our check — we will update when the sources publish the correct week.
What was on the programme 3–9 August
The past week closed art camps and the family theatre The Good Person according to the municipal calendar. We cannot confirm visitor numbers or atmosphere, but several local events had fixed dates in the Activity Bus week 32 schedule and event calendar.
Monday to Thursday 3–6 August had art camps at Säfstaholm Castle and theatre at Folkets Park in the evenings. Thursday 6 August combined summer music at Österåker Church and a garden concert at Båsenberga.
Friday 7 August was the last theatre evening and the same day had a barbecue evening at the heritage centre in Österåker. Saturday 8 August had castle theatre and a gospel concert at Hjälmargården on the programme.
Monday to Wednesday: the last bus week gets going
Week 33 starts with the Activity Bus at Sävstarinken on Monday 10 August — kabaddi 11:00–15:00 according to the municipal PDF. Tuesday 11 August is cake baking at the youth centre, Wednesday football at Hansjö school for ages 7–12.
Wednesday 12 August (publication day) continues the same schedule. Always check the municipality’s current information before visiting.
For calmer activities, HittaUt remains until 30 September and Säfstaholm’s summer exhibitions until 27 September.
Thursday to Sunday: music, disco and weekend culture
Thursday 13 August is packed in the calendar: a slide with the Activity Bus at the youth centre, self-defence training at Åbrogården at 17:30 and summer music at Österåker Church at 18:00.
Friday 14 August closes the bus summer holiday with a football tournament at 11:00 at the youth centre — register teams with staff. The same evening has children’s disco at Högsjö Folkets hus from 17:30.
Saturday 15 August offers the factory shop in Högsjö, sing-along at Hjälmargården at 18:00 and outdoor cinema in Marmorby at 21:00 — bring your own chair. Monday 17 August is the next read-with-a-dog session at the library.

August moves towards autumn — but the calendar is still full
Week 33 suits anyone wanting to combine bus activities with evening events. Thursday and the weekend offer the most choice, while Monday to Wednesday still has the Activity Bus for children and young people.
We have added what we can verify in the municipal calendar and the restaurants’ lunch pages. Missing something local? Tip the editors with date, place and preferably a link.
