Senior Sport School pilot in Vingåker — nine weeks of activity for ages 65+
This autumn Senior Sport School is being piloted in Vingåker. Over nine weeks, participants aged 65 or older and living in the municipality can try different activities, attend talks and enjoy company with other seniors.
According to the municipality, the course combines physical activities, inspiring talks and social interaction. Local sports clubs host sessions and participants can try activities such as tennis, orienteering, riding, croquet and gymnastics.
No prior knowledge is required, but you need to be able to get to the sessions independently. The pilot starts on 29 September at 13:00 and participation is free. Places are limited.
Senior Sport School is run by Vingåker municipality in cooperation with RF-SISU Södermanland. Sessions are led by the municipality’s carer coordinator.
