27 percent of Vingåker residents aged 25–65 have post-secondary education

In 2025, 1,103 Vingåker residents aged 25–65 had post-secondary education, according to Statistics Sweden’s latest education statistics.
That corresponds to 27.1 percent of the age group. Vingåkersnytt counts both shorter and longer post-secondary education.
Slight increase from 2024
The year before, the share was 26.7 percent, so the change is small but slightly upward.
Upper-secondary education most common
The largest group in Vingåker still had upper-secondary education as their highest level: 2,295 people, or 56.3 percent of residents aged 25–65.
624 people had compulsory/pre-secondary education as their highest level. For 55 people, the education level was unknown in the table.
Lower than county and national shares
The post-secondary share was lower in Vingåker than in Södermanland County (38.6 percent) and Sweden overall (48.3 percent).
Why the figure matters
This should not be read as a judgement on the municipality. Education levels are connected to industry structure, jobs, commuting and the options people have had.
For Vingåker, the figure still matters for skills supply, recruitment, adult education and how the municipality attracts employers and residents.
