Indoor autumn break, including rain

If it rains, the indoor autumn break is at the library, the youth centre, the cinema, Slottskolan, Åbrogården and Västra Vingåker church. At the library you can come and go among the board games, the cinema has the autumn-break film on Wednesday, and in church children from preschool class to year 6 can try the organ. The ride, the ghost walks, the torch walk and the sauna are outdoors.

Outdoors and nature

Outside there are horses at Vårnäs, the uneven trail in Högsjö and torches from ICA Cityhallen to the church. The castle evening is outdoors too. If the schedule has a gap, an autumn walk along Lake Grävsjön from Högsjö bathing place is a perfectly good plan.

Lake Grävsjön

The path runs from Högsjö bathing place along Lake Grävsjön. By the wind shelter there is a jetty, if anyone wants a swim, and a fire site. A fishing licence applies for everyone over 11 and is bought at Coop Högsjö.

Autumn break for young children

If you have children aged 0–5, Saturday 24 October is a soft start: read-aloud in the children’s section. A ghost disco for the same ages comes on Friday, and it needs registration. Toddler riding is from age 3, the musical from age 5. The organ takes preschool class to year 6. Wednesday’s autumn-break film at 15:00 is suitable for children and completely free.

For teenagers

Young people registered in the municipality can spend Monday to Wednesday at Dream Camp in Läppe. The camp has the theme Framtidstro, with band, choir, dance and making. The youth centre gathers school years 4–19 for pumpkins, ghost dodgeball, Actic, padel and a film with tacos. The VR wands are from age 10, slime is for ages 8–12 and jiu-jitsu is from age 7.

Halloween in Vingåker

Halloween in Vingåker is spread across several days. The little ones can ride in costume as early as 24 October, with a handler by the horse. Midweek there are pumpkins, ghost dodgeball and the Högsjö trail, SEK 30 with a hot dog and a soft drink. On Thursday evening at the castle the walks start on a rolling basis. Friday’s disco in Läppe costs SEK 20. On Saturday 31 October, Kandyz has a fortune teller and a lucky dip. A separate guide collects the spooky programme.

Food and fika

Food and fika often come with the session. Kikimo has a tasting on Saturday 24 October while supplies last. In Högsjö a hot dog and a soft drink are included in the SEK 30 fee. The organ visit includes fika, the youth centre’s film night has tacos, and Läppe has a kiosk. Sultan’s castle café is open during the art exhibition. For the stable day, bring your own lunch.
